Semi-Permanent Makeup is an aesthetic procedure that can deliver impressive results, but it is not suitable for everyone due to potential complications. Below, we highlight a list of medical conditions and situations to consider before undergoing this treatment, as they can influence the process and aesthetic outcomes:

  1. Herpes: Any active herpes infection is a reason to postpone the procedure.

  2. Cold Sores (Herpes Labial): The presence of a cold sore outbreak also requires delaying the treatment.

  3. Tanning: Ensure your skin is not tanned before undergoing the procedure.

  4. Bruises and Bruising: If you have bruises or bruising in the treatment area, it is advisable to wait until they have completely healed.

  5. Fresh Surgical Scars: Recent surgical scars must have healed before proceeding.

  6. Pustules: Any type of active pustule or pimple is a contraindication.

  7. Bacterial Infection or Wound Infection: If you have a bacterial infection or wound infection, it is important to postpone the treatment until it has resolved.

  8. Inflammatory Acne: The presence of inflammatory acne should be treated before considering Semi-Permanent Makeup.

  9. Viral Infection or Infectious Disease: In the case of viral infections such as Covid-19, colds, flu, sinusitis, or respiratory infections, as well as Hepatitis A, B, and C, it is recommended to postpone the treatment until the illness is under control.

  • Skin Abnormalities, Lumps, Keloids, Melanomas, and Tumors: These conditions should be assessed and treated before considering Semi-Permanent Makeup.

  • Artificial Insemination: During artificial insemination or in vivo fertilization, treatment should be avoided until after childbirth and the cessation of breastfeeding.
